January 2024 …

What a CRAZY month and start to the New Year.  I had all hopes of it starting out fabulous and boy was I surprised and disappointed!

End of 2023, the holiday season was one of my busiest yet since being in business and selling on Etsy!  I shipped so many Lip Balms!!
… this was just one order!

I have been crafting in my 8×12 (really 8×8) She Shed for over 3 years .. I have outgrown the little shed that was really only suppose to be my flower drying shed!  I have been deciding on whether I should get a bigger shed or just hold off since mine will be paid off in February and it would be nice not having a payment.  I decided to go for it and get a bigger shed.  So we thought we found the right one.  Here is the start of the NOT so great New Year ….

So .. we went to a local shed place that we bought from before .. we had a great experience last time .. this time NOT!  I won’t mention names cause I am still upset over this and still haven’t had the mental energy to address it .. Here is a hint to the name … Alabama grows COTTON — in this STATE  and these sheds are considered BARNS. 😖. Purchased new shed .. so excited waited 2 weeks and it was delivered.

Within those two weeks … We lost Simon (he is the siamese cat) to advanced Kidney Failure on January 25th.  It has been so hard losing him for both us and his sister Peanut Penny .. she really misses him.  We then found out after he passed that she has diabetes and we are treating her with a new daily pill for cats called Bexacat.                                                                                                                 .. Simons last day before he passed.

Then two weeks later the shed was delivered .. prior to that we had went up to the lot to view it again .. it had just rained super bad .. we thought great time to see it and make sure no leaks .. OMG!  Boy good thing we did .. it had so many leaks and a two inch gap between the doors!  I immediately called the lot sales lady and she said .. “Didn’t ya’ll look at it before buying it?”  Yes, she literally said that to me .. I should have taken that as a BIG RED FLAG and said PASS, CANCEL THE ORDER!  But no, I didn’t and believed her that it would be fixed and the gap in the door will close tight after it is leveled.  The warranty on the shed is fabulous and they will repair and fix it all.  Let’s just stop here and say .. Warranty guy was a JERK and shouldn’t be working with the pubic!  I got screwed and lost only one month payment regrettfully.  Here is said shed …

So I returned the crappy shed and headed back to the dealer next door to them where I bought my Tiny She Crafty Shed from and they had this beauty…

Meet Grace — She Crafty Shed

We named her Grace because the dealer told us someone dropped off a cute dog and they opened this shed for her to eat/sleep in … awe!

Grace ended up being picked up by the local shelter and here is her adoption pic:

Look at how cute she is next to Tiny Shed …

Let’s get Crafting!  Until next time …
